TUF 13 Episode 7: 1 million viewers

May 14, 2011 by Jason Cruz 3 Comments

MMA Junkie reports that the seventh episode of TUF 13 received the lowest ratings of its season with 1 million viewers.  The ratings sent out Friday piggyback the news this week that Brock Lesnar is out of the main event for UFC 131.

Via MMA Junkie:

“TUF 13” scored a 0.9 rating among men 18-49 and a 0.9 among men 18-34. The ratings for the latest season of “The Ultimate Fighter” had previously remained between 1.2 million and 1.5 million viewers for each episode.

Payout Perspective:

A bad week for Brock Lesnar and its almost fitting that TUF suffers the worst ratings week of its season. Personally, I am a fan of the TUF coach challenges each season and I thought this one was pretty entertaining. What was not entertaining was the rest of the show. Even the most diehard TUF fan has to find this season a disappointment. It will be interesting to see if/how TUF will address Lesnar pulling out of  the fight like the Tito Ortiz situation.

Hasn’t the season already finished filming so they can’t really go back and film the last 5 episodes or whatever with Carwin as coach.

I think it’s official that the TUF formula is DOA. Time for something new from Zuffa.

    Parker,

Although they may have finished filming, there will likely some postscript on the final episode b/c a part of the show is to promote the coaches fight and they can’t promote a fight that’s not going to happen. I think that’s what you saw with the Ortiz-Liddell season.

Wait, is this for real? Trump spent $60 million of our taxpayer funds to host a UFC fight and then is selling UFC coin to line his family’s pockets. The Trump corruption swamp is a mile deep.
