Fight Camp 360 debuts on CBS Saturday

April 1, 2011 by Jason Cruz 1 Comment

Showtime’s Fight Camp 360: Pacquiao vs. Mosley debuts tomorrow (Noon EDT/9amPDT) on CBS as lead-in to Final Four coverage. Similar to HBO’s 24/7 series, it appears that we will get the similar behind the scenes look at both fight camps.

(H/t: Bad Left Hook and Bloody Elbow)

Payout Perspective:

It will be interesting to see the response to this series and if it compares to the HBO series. As lead-in to the Final Four on CBS, the show should garner some casual viewers although a 9am start time on the west coast may not help. It also sparks the question as to whether boxing will make it back to network television (or if it wants to make it back).

it would have a major impact for boxing because ever since boxing didnt spend that much money on advertising to the mainstream fans…way far from what zuffa spent on the ufc….so now we would see the impact of this marketing on the ppv buys…remember mma started from scratch and because of marketing its reached its peak…but boxing would start from having 1 mill ppv in tyson days and dela hoya days with hbo as the only marketing tool…..i think it would be a huge huge sucess.
