Its reach and influence despite the fact that the majority of its content is behind a pay wall is a testament to its quality.

Back in the dark ages of MMA, Meltzer kept me up to date on the goings on especially with the Japanese scene. I don’t particularly find his site all that great, he just promo’s his news letters which as you mention are a great source for ratings and buy rates. There is no doubt that Meltzer is a “UFC” yes man, however, he still shows some independence. I mostly miss his old daily radio shows. I think he still does them? But I’ve moved on to Sherdog podcasts.
