Electronic Arts has released a new EA MMA video that uses real gameplay footage and prominently features the Strikeforce cage and fighters. The game is set for release sometime later this year.

In terms of the video game industry, I think most gamers would agree that competition is unquestionably a good thing. The consumer is going to ultimately side with the product that provides the greatest amount of perceived value. Thus, there’s really no room for complacency, because market share is prone to shifting quite quickly. The EA and THQ titles are going to push one another, and that’s a great thing for gamers.
Moreover, the MMA industry now has two big companies throwing their marketing dollars behind MMA projects; the sport as a whole stands to benefit greatly as well.
