Rousey stars in another commercial for Insureon

September 7, 2013 by Jason Cruz 7 Comments

Ronda Rousey stars in her second commercial for small business insurer Insureon.  Rousey plays “The Insureon Protector” in this video series.

H/t:  MMA Mania

As an added bonus, she had a “behind the scenes video” for the first commercial where she talks about her involvement with the company.  You can see the first commercial here.

Payout Perspective:

Is Rousey warming up in front of the camera?  Maybe we should compare this to what you may see on TUF this season.  Regardless of what you may or may not think of her acting, it’s another sign of Rousey expanding her personal brand.  This fall is busy for Rousey as she has roles in two movies, training for Miesha Tate and promoting their series which is currently running on FS1.

Not as corny as the first one but pretty bad. There are times she looks good when her hair is done and she is smiling. But she doesn’t play the bad girl role very well. She had good features like her smile but when she isn’t showing them the doesn’t have much to work with. The biggest problem with these commercials is the production more so than her acting. Poorly scripted and edited. Now that I think about it. The camplany does get its message across. They cheesiness gets attention just in time to hear the company message. I think my real issue with it is it is good for the company but it is at Rousey’s expense. Also how good can it be for her acting career to be in a cheesy local commercial as some inspiring movie star? This doesn’t help her image or credibility as an actress. It is her “mystic” as a fighter that is appealing to get her in movies. She is in a way wasting it on low budget commercials and it may be costing for movie roles.

I agree with both above. I just wish Ufc would scrap the womens division and get back to good contender fights. I don’t think it will happen for a while.

I read criticisms about Ronda’s behavior and attitude on the first episode of TUF that made her sound really bad. When I watched the episode I thought the criticisms were overblown. This commercial however really is completely terrible. She needs to get someone to give her better career advice or her acting career is going to stall out really quickly.

I think she shoils rump on these commercials because they won’t always be there and I don’t think she has much of an acting career. But if she really thinks she does have an acting career and is serious about it. These commercials are not a good idea. I think her taking these shows she knows an acting career is unlikely even if she would prefer it. She is t stupid as she was acting a while back.
