Good choice for the top 5. I used to visit the site on a daily basis, but found that BE covered most of what was discussed. Interesting amongst the mma only type sites, it looks to sit at #3 unless I’m missing an important mma site. This list does not include SI or Yahoo, etc., which cover multiple sports.

MMAJunkie is the #1 MMA news site. If it’s on Junkie, it’s correct. Junkie is quality.

Bloody Elbow is ok but they hide behind the whole “blogger” label to “comment” on stories other sites did the work on. They tend to do a ton of stories on the same subject. Some times they run stories in to the ground because they have some many writers.

Kid Nate…. He’s ok but sometimes takes angles on stories just to generate more hits on the site. Oh and he abuses his ability to ban people. I’ve seen him ban people just because he’s having a bad day. Otherwise, it’s a solid site.

Junkie’s radio show is great. The guys deliver 2-3 hours a day of great content.

My second favorite site would be MMA Fighting.

@jj: that’s exactly why I like BE more than Junkie–Junkie’s absolutely the best source for news, but they’re just news (with a few exceptions). I visit BE several times a day, and spend far more time reading their material because they provide analysis of the news. There are some columnists I like a lot better than others, of course, but I *like* that they “run stories into the ground,” as you put it.

That said, I have no problem with putting Junkie ahead of BE in these rankings. Junkie is absolutely the source for MMA news, and that’s nothing to sneeze at.
