Ahead of WWE Crown Jewel’s event set for Saturday, November 7th, Riyadh Season sent a social media message announcing that the venue had changed and announced that “(a)ll ticket holders will receive a full refund, and tickets will be re-released to everyone within the next 48 hours.” The WWE was not informed of the move prior to the social media post.
We would like to inform you that “WWE Crown Jewel” has been moved to a new venue. All ticket holders will receive a full refund, and tickets will be re-released to everyone within the next 48 hours.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that the event will take place at the same venue that this Saturday’s Canelo Alvarez fight will be held which is still in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The likely reasoning behind the sudden move is for security amidst the turmoil that continues in the middle east. The United States issued an order for non-emergency U.S. government employees and their family members to leave the country due to escalating security threats and drone and missile strikes by Iranian-backed Houthi forces.
I recently wrote about the questionable decision to hold events in Saudi Arabia during such a troubling time. However, money is the driving force that won out for Canelo and TKO to hold events in the region.
