The UFC made a stop in Shanghai on Saturday with a strong showing from Song Yadong as he lead the promotion bonuses.
Song Yadong scored a second round stoppage of Umar Nurmagomedov. Yadong called for a title shot after the upset victory.
Bilal Hasan scored a Performance of the Night with a KO of Nilson Rojas. A straight right hand ended the Canadian’s night and Hasan earned $100K.
The Fight of the Night went to Liu Ce & Levi Rodrigues, Jr.. The light heavyweights put on a show with a hard-hitting first round. Liu knocked Rodrigues, Jr. down with less than 1:30 left in the round and it was the beginning of the end. Notwithstanding several haymakers from Rodrigues, Jr. it was clear that Liu with a huge round that knocked Rodrigues, Jr. out.
Denise Gomes led the fighters earning $25K for finishes. The co-main event competitor, Gomes ended the night for local favorite Yan Xiaonan. Also earning $25K were Kai Asakura, Andre Lima, Rei Tsuruya, Francesco Nuzzi, Hector Santiago and Julia Polastri.
