Dana White mentioned that one of the athletes on Dana White’s Contender Series has made over $11 million in their UFC career despite not receiving a title shot in the promotion. But, the one fighter many fans thought it was, Kevin Holland, has come out to deny it.
White did not name the fighter although most believe Kevin Holland fit the description.
Holland fought on the Contender Series in June 2018. For those that recall, White nicknamed him “Big Mouth” because of his constant talking. Holland has a 16-12-1 record in the UFC. He’s also collected 9 Performance of the Night bonuses and one Fight of the Night bonus. Still, even with the disclosed pay for several of Holland’s events (his most recent showing that he made a base of $250K in January 2025) its hard to fathom Holland clears over $11M. This, even when you consider potential UFC sponsorships and other company ancillary pay.
Holland stated that it is not him.
Whether Holland is denying it so that people do not show up at his door asking for money or if White was making the number up, it seems as though the talk during these Tuesday’s shows is how the show has been beneficial to the company and fighters.
Granted, the initial thought of the show gave a theatrical vibe similar to the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. But, with the company needing to fill so many events, even those not winning are getting contracts. The show itself is content for Paramount’s digital platform.
UPDATE: It appears that Holland has admitted that he is the guy. In a social media post, he stated that he has 4 kids, 3 divorces and pays taxes which infers that the money is being used.
