Hokit’s comments on former first lady get him the attention he wanted

June 15, 2026 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Despite looking like a mess at weigh-ins, Josh Hokit destroyed Derrick Lewis, he took to the microphone to embarrass himself even more.

Hokit praised the president then ended his remarks by taking a shot at former first lady Michelle Obama. In one of the most vulgar, distasteful and racist jokes one could do at the White House, Hokit claimed that she was a man.

Joe Rogan just smiled and there were some audible cheers and several groans and the rest of the crowd composed of military, corporate suck-ups, conservative influencers and the presidential inner circle.

While Dana White denounced the post-Octagon words, the White House was a little more aloof:

Asked for comment about UFC Fighter Josh Hokit saying “Michelle Obama is a man” in his post fight interview, WH spokesman Steven Cheung said “He had a great win last night. He showed toughness and the ability to pressure his opponent both on his feet and on the ground.”

For the attention seeker Hokit, he is getting what he wants. But, the comments have galvanized many Obama supporters and those who oppose the current administration. Many social media influencers have taken this as the prime example of the vulgarity and disrespect that looms over the White House and as we move toward mid-terms.

As for Hokit’s MMA career, the UFC-world will still love him because that’s his pocket of fans. But, any other move aside from right wing media will not occur.
