UFC Vegas 117 bonuses

May 18, 2026 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC Vegas 117 took place on Saturday night at the Apex in Las Vegas. The promotion handed out 10 bonuses for the night.

The Fight of the Night went to Doo Ho Choi and Daniel Santos. Each received $100K for their efforts. After a competitive first round, Choi hit Santos with a big bodyshot near the end of Round 2 which ended the fight.

Juan Diaz earned a $100K Performance Bonus with an upset victory over Malcolm Wellmaker. Diaz stopped Wellmaker in round 2 for the fighter’s second straight loss to a debuting UFC fighter.

Arleen Ardeleen pulled off the submission of the year thus far with the rarely seen “capsule lock” on Polyana Viana. Essentially Ardeleen submitted her while in Viana’s body lock from top.

The $25k stoppage winners include: Khaos Williams, Nicolle Caliari, Bernardo Sopaj, Tommy Gannt and Cody Brundage.

The proliferation of gambling makes "shit happens" no longer an acceptable excuse. There should be a vehicle for fixing grossly unfair outcomes like the one that happened to Western Michigan tonight.

We are now in the part of College Football where we are starting to do do-overs so the right team can win

Terry McAulay: "The ball isn't even close to touching a player when it goes to zero... Their Hawk-Eye system apparently had a different sync... I don't see how that happened, assuming our clock is correct... The ball is clearly still in the air when the clock goes to zero..."

Excellent drive from Bryce Underwood and Michigan. So much different from much of last year.

Kyle Whittingham is such a great football coach! Going to be fun to watch the progression of this team.
