Box Office Report: Barboza-Sims

March 26, 2026 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

MMA Payout has obtained the box office receipts from the California State Athletic Commission for the March 14, 2026 event at The Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

The event was highlighted by Arnold Barboza, Jr. taking on Kenneth Sims, Jr. promoted by Golden Boy Boxing. Barboza defeated Sims in a battle of welterweights.

The event drew 15,720 for a gross total gate of $214,950. There were 3,848 tickets sold for the event. According to the report the most tickets sold were in the $25 range with 1,485 tickets sold in that range. Notably, the ticket price on the report does not reflect any additional fees and taxes with the tickets so I doubt you’d find an actual purchase price point of $25 for the event. For what its worth, the report had tickets in the following ranges $100, $75, $50 and $25.

The Honda Center holds between 18,500 to 19,200 for events including its anchor tenant, the Anaheim Ducks. While not a fair comparison, UFC 298 which was the highest grossing UFC event in California history drew 18,186.
