BREAKING: Vote in the House on Ali Revival Act Tuesday

March 23, 2026 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

According to this week’s schedule by Majority Leader Steve Scalise, the Muhammad Ali Boxing Revival Act is scheduled for a vote on Tuesday, March 24th.

The bill is here.

There was a hearing in December by the House Subcommittee on Education and Workforce. It then held a markup session in January which included comments from Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. A report on the bill was issued earlier this month. There were several unanswered questions including one from a California Congressman wanting to know if CSAC Chair Andy Foster had asked TKO for a job before he lobbied for the bill and/or testified in Congress for its support.

Payout Perspective:

There has been opposition by media, boxers and others about the bill. Last month, USA Boxing withdrew its support on the legislation. Certainly, the proposed legislation is one-sided and did not address ALL stakeholders when crafting it. Moreover, in my opinion its not an honest attempt to address the problems in the boxing industry and the term, “Revival” in the act is not genuine in claiming that boxing in the US is dead. MPO will follow but I’d suggest writing your Congressperson if its not too late.
