Mayweather schedules another fight

March 4, 2026 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

With two fights scheduled for this year, Floyd Mayweather announced another with a scheduled June exhibition in Greece against kickboxer Mike Zambidis.

Mayweather, 47, announced his attention to come out of retirement and fight Manny Pacquiao at The Sphere in Las Vegas this September. Prior to that, he is slated to fight Mike Tyson this spring in Congo.

Now, Mayweather will head to Athens in an event dubbed, “Battle of the Legends.” Zambidis, 45, is an 18-time world champion kickboxer.

Clearly, Mayweather bulking up his fight scheduled infers what we believe. He’s in need of money. While there may be other “reasons” to come out of retirement, the circumstantial evidence which includes filing a lawsuit seeking $340 million from Showtime and Stephen Espinoza and news that he has defaulted on properties infers that he is in need of money.
