ESPN to air first hour of Wrestlemania 42 for both nights

February 28, 2026 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

ESPN announced that the first hour of Wrestlemania for both Saturday and Sunday will air on linear television. The Saturday show will air at 3pm PT on ESPN2 while the Sunday show will air at 3pm PT on ESPN.

The rest of the show on both nights will stream on the EPSN App. Its an unprecedented move for the company with its top show of the year.

News has been swirling about the low ticket turnout as compared to last year in the same venue. There have been sales offering a percentage off of the retail inventory. Also, watch parties have been banned in the area which leads one to believe that this was going to happen all along.

Perhaps there’s an internal number that TKO is behind on with respect to ticket sales and/or subscribers that they are behind. But, the move seems like one made out of concern rather than one made to leverage its properties.
