Mike Tyson lends support to Ali Act Revival legislation

December 1, 2025 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Sports Business Journal reports that Mike Tyson supports the Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act. The public support comes the same week that there will be a Congressional Hearing on the legislation.

According to a letter released on behalf of Tyson, he stated “proposed reforms provide meaningful benefits for fighters.” The letter penned by Tyson (but likely on his behalf) endorses the proposed legislation and is offered as part of Thursday’s congressional hearing.

Notably, the report provides scant detail about why Tyson supports the new legislation. Tyson is a close friend of Dana White. White heads Zuffa Boxing which will launch its league in 2026. The proposed legislation would help Zuffa Boxing create a “UFC-type” league in which in would not have to work with sanctioning bodies and other promoters.

Payout Perspective:

We shall see how much TKO brings out Tyson to speak in support of the new legislation. The company already garnered the support of the California State Athletic Commission. The hearing this week should drum up support for the bill. However, there is vocal support against the passing of the legislation.
