New York City Mayor Eric Adams stated that he is having NYPD look into the UFC 322 brawl involving Dillon Danis and members of Islam Makachev’s camp on Saturday night. He stated that the “assaults” were “unacceptable” and “everyone responsible will be held accountable.”
These assaults at Madison Square Garden are completely unacceptable. The NYPD is already conducting a full investigation, and everyone responsible will be held accountable. https://t.co/1hO15blaKs

Adams embedded a video of the fight from an Australian news outlet in his social media post. The post includes a statement which reads, “UFC boss, Dana White said he knew that Danis was near Islam’s crew, who have a strong rivalry against him, but Dana told his security to do nothing.”

The video also includes another fight that took place in the stands involving fans.
In his post-fight press conference, White stated that he would not press charges against Danis.
The video footage from various media and fans that were near the brawl identify current UFC fighter Magomed “Chanco” Zaynukov and Abubakar Nurmagomedov.
Danis and the members of Makachev’s camp were ejected from the arena prior to the start of the main card. Most believe the fight was due to Danis’ social media attack on Makachev and his camp. It stems back to UFC 229 when Khabib Nurmogomedov defeated Conor McGregor and then left the Octagon to fight Danis.
Payout Perspective:
It’s not a great look for the city of New York to have brawls at MSG at a sporting event without any repercussions. But, while there may be an investigation, I doubt that there will be any formal criminal charges against anyone. One has to assume no one will cooperate with the investigation unless Danis attempts to press charges. Of course, this would make Danis more a target in public than ever before.
