Per Dana White at the post-fight press conference the attendance was 20,664 with a gate of $13.6 million which was the 3rd highest gate at Madison Square Garden.
Bo Nickal earned a $50K bonus with a headkick KO of Rodolfo Vieira as the feature fight of the prelims. Nickal controlled the entire fight and looked like he put away an exhausted Vieira in the final round.
Benoit Saint Denis suddenly stopped Beneil Dariush with a shot to the ear which ended the night for the 36-year-old. BSD’s KO affirms his place in line to challenge for the lightweight title.
Carlos Prates earned his $50K bonus with a second round KO of Leon Edwards. It was the first stoppage of Edwards in his pro career.
Michael Morales earned his $50K bonus with a first round stoppage of Sean Brady. Morales and Prates are vying for a shot at new champ Islam Makhachev who disposed of Jack Della Maddalena in the main event.
