Joshua-Paul scheduled for December fight on Netflix

November 12, 2025 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

USA Today reports that Jake Paul is finalizing a fight with heavyweight Anthony Joshua for Netflix in December. The fight replaces the November 14th fight with Gervonta Davis which was canceled due to Davis’ legal issues.

Details on the fight are still preliminary although the rumored location of the fight will be in Miami.

After the cancellation of the Davis fight, Paul’s camp was looking for an opponent. It came to Joshua.

Joshua’s last fight was in September 2024 against Daniel Dubois, a loss via KO.

Payout Perspective:

A bit of a scramble to find a fight for the end of the year which makes it clear that Paul needed to fulfill the fight with Netflix in 2025. This fight should be better than the proposed fight with Davis. While I thought Joshua was retired, no one is ever retired in combat sports.
