UFC 321 took place on Saturday in Abu Dhabi at the Etihad Arena. The promotion gave out 4 $50K bonuses.
The Fight of the Night went to Ludovit Klein as he defeated Mateusz Rebecki. Klein believed he broke his ankle during an exchange as he fell to the ground. This compromised Klein who could not stand in round 3. Despite the injury, he did enough work in the first two rounds to win a majority decision.
It was a bad matchup from the start. Louie Sutherland, known as a ‘brawler’ was facing BJJ ace Valter Walker. The Brazilian is known for leglocks and he did just that in the first round of the fight. That’s four straight heel hook submission victories.
The highlight of UFC 321 may have been Quillan Salkilld’s head kick KO of Nasrat Haqparast in the very first round. Notably, Salkilld took the fight on short notice.
