UFC Vegas 109 took place on Saturday night at The Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The promotion handed out 4 bonuses including a highlight reel slam.
Elijah Smith delivered a slam reminiscent of Rampage Jackson’s slam of Ricardo Arona in Pride. Smith knocked out Toshiomi Kazama as the replays look like the slam was onto the neck and head. Kazama was knocked out and Smith earned the victory. While a highlight reel KO, it was also a scary slam that could have seriously harmed Kazama.
Joselyn Edwards earned her $50K bonus with a stoppage of Priscila Cachoeira.
Christian Leroy Duncan earned a stoppage victory of UFC vet Erytk Anders.
Finally, main event fighter Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez dominated his match and earned a submission victory over Roman Dolidze.
