WWE Smackdown draws biggest ratings since April for Hogan tribute

July 28, 2025 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

There are still Hulkamaniacs out there. WWE Friday Night Smackdown drew its biggest ratings since April as many tuned in to watch the tribute to Hulk Hogan. Overall, Friday Night Smackdown drew 1.707M viewers.

Hogan passed away this past Thursday at the age of 71. Hogan is best known for his time while in the World Wrestling Federation (now World Wrestling Entertainment).

Smackdown on the USA Network was first in the A18-49 demo as it drew a 0.48 rating (~636K-650K). It also was first in A25-54 with a 0.63 rating (~772K-784K).

The spike in ratings can largely be attributed to the death of Hogan and the tribute that the WWE had promoted in honor of its former champ.
