Another heel turn, John Laurinaitis agrees to turn on Vince McMahon

June 4, 2025 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

John Laurinaitis has been dismissed from the Janel Grant lawsuit in exchange for a settlement and providing evidence against Vince McMahon.

This is the second time that Laurinaitis has flipped on McMahon although this one will stick since he’s been dismissed with prejudice (i.e., permanently) from the lawsuit. Laurinaitis was implicated in the Grant lawsuit as a co-conspirator. McMahon’s attorney denied any wrongdoing with Grant and stated that Laurinaitis corroborated McMahon’s statements.

The lawsuit still hinges on a yet-to-be-determined hearing to decide if the case will be moved to arbitration.

Payout Perspective:

The dismissal of Laurinaitis likely saves him from any further investigation of his alleged wrongdoing in this case. His testimony against his former boss may help with Grant’s eventual case against McMahon. Of course, as someone who settled his case (in part) to provide testimony against a former boss, McMahon’s lawyers will accuse him of flipping for his own benefit. He also is known as someone who would turn on a friend for his own personal gain. Hence, not a great person of moral character. We will see how this helps (or hurts) the Grant case as it moves forward.
