Wrestlemania weekend took place in Vegas and the promotion announced on Monday AAA Worlds Collide will take place the same day as Money in the Bank.
The popular arrivals of Penta and Rey Fenix this year reflects the fact that WWE has neglected an untapped demographic.
Worlds Collide will take place at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles at 11:30am PT, Saturday, June 7th. The announcement stated that “WWE Superstars alongside stars of AAA” will be performing. WWE’s Money in the Bank will take place at 3:30pm PT later that afternoon from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
This will be the first event for AAA under the WWE banner. The company is selling “combo tickets” for both events.
Payout Perspective:
This will be an interesting experiment for the WWE to hold two events on the same day in the same city. It might be a logistical nightmare for fans to go from the Forum in Inglewood to downtown Los Angeles but it likely won’t deter the live gate. WWE acquiring AAA is an expansion of the brand and a sign that it acknowledges other forms of wrestling.
