Wilson suspended by USADA for use of other’s vape pen

February 21, 2025 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

PFL fighter Jay Jay Wilson was suspended by USADA for use of a vape pen from another individual who had taken metenolone and its metabolite. Wilson was suspended three months by USADA retroactive to April 1, 2024. But due to the investigation, Wilson had to sit out an extra six-and-a-half months.

The investigation took 10 months and Wilson was held out of action due to the positive test and investigation.

Wilson’s claim was that he used a vape pen of an individual that had taken the banned substance. Testing of corroborative evidence supported the claim. But USADA said it took months of experts to confirm the scientific plausibility of such a sequence leading to a positive drug test.

Per MMA Junkie, Wilson was also suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission but that that case was resolved. Wilson has not fought for PFL as he was a holdover from Bellator. But, according to his IG he may be back in the cage soon.
