Saturday’s Night Main Event scores 1.59M viewers in return to NBC

The return of WWE’s Saturday’s Night Main Event on NBC drew 1.590 million viewers this past Saturday. The telecast was met with stiff competition with the Heisman Trophy presentation and NBA Cup Semi-Finals on at the same time.

Saturday Night’s Main Event drew 0.42 (557,000 viewers) in the A18-49 demo per Programming Insider. It was 7th overall in total viewers in prime time and 3rd overall in total viewers in the A18-49 demo.

The Heisman Trophy Presentation on ESPN led all telecasts with 2.521 million viewers and a 0.62 rating in the A18-49 demo. The NBA Cup Semi-Finals featuring the Houston Rockets and OKC Thunder was 3rd overall in total viewers and second in A18-49 demo.

Saturday Night’s Main Event will be a quarterly event on NBC and was the lead-in for Chris Rock hosting Saturday Night Live on NBC.

The telecast featured Cody Rhodes taking on Kevin Owens in the feature bout and Chelsea Green winning the inaugural US Title.
