The World Boxing Council formally expelled Ryan Garcia on Thursday after he made racist statements on social media.
Mauricio Sulaiman sent out a statement on social media expelling him from the sanctioning body. This means he can no longer participate in any fights with the WBC.
Exercising my authority as president of the WBC , I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization. We reject any form of discrimination. I fear for Ryan well being as he has declined multiple attempts for our help with mental health and substance abuse pic.twitter.com/pCIOH2am7B

Garcia used racial slurs on a livestream disparaging Blacks and Muslims. He also posted since-deleted tweets of the same type.
Garcia has been in a spiral of decline after his concerning behavior during fight week with Devin Haney. He was arrested in Beverly Hills after trashing a hotel, he was in altercation with Caleb Plant at the Gervonta Davis fight and he is being sued by Logan Paul’s energy drink company Prime. While he (and his supporters) claim that he is fine and its all an act. He’s clearly out of control and his actions are costing him.
