UFC on ESPN 53 bonuses

March 24, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC on ESPN 53 took place on Saturday night at The Apex in Las Vegas. The bonuses included a special ‘Bite of the Night’ bonus for Andre Lima.

Lima was bit by his opponent Igor Severino in the second round. As a result Severino was disqualified. Originally, Lima was awarded $25K but when Dana White saw that he was getting a tattoo after the incident around the bite marks he gave him another $25K.

Payton Talbott earned a $50K fight bonus for his stoppage against Cameron Saaiman in Round 2 of their fight. Talbott stopped a takedown attempt with a stiff knee which sent Saaiman to the ground and punches ended the fight.

Fernando Padilla earned a $50K submission bonus with a D’arce Choke victory over Luis Pajuelo.

The Fight of the Night went to Jarno Errens as he defeated Steven Nguyen in a big fist fight that saw Errens earn the unanimous decision.
