Jake Paul to fight Mike Tyson on Netflix in July

March 7, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Coming off a first round KO in Puerto Rico, Jake Paul takes to the boxing ring this summer against Mike Tyson at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on July 20th on Netflix.

Tyson last fought in an exhibition against Roy Jones, Jr. in July 2020. Four years later, he will take on Paul. Tyson will be 58 years old at the time of the fight.

The event is another foray into live sports by Netflix. Earlier this year, it signed a deal to air WWE Raw in 2005. It also aired a tennis match between Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz on Netflix.

It is Texas so I would not think licensing a 58-year-old man that last fought a competitive fight in almost 20 years is a problem. How will they fill up Texas stadium? I don’t know how much clamor there will be for tickets. Paul-Nate Diaz did not fare too well and I don’t think this match will be that entertaining.
