UFC Fight Night 237 took place in Mexico City on Saturday Night. Brian Ortega’s comeback win over Yair Rodriguez drew one of the bonuses for the night.
Ortega overcame what looked like a bad ankle injury while warming up in the Octagon and a strong first round by Rodriguez to submit him in round 3.
Manuel Torres earned a $50K bonus with his first-round submission of Chris Duncan. The Fight of the Night went to Daniel Zellhuber and Francisco Prado with Zellhuber winning via unanimous decision.
In the main event, Brandon Moreno edged out Brandon Royval in a battle of contenders for the Flyweight crown.
The event took place in Mexico City and attendance was announced at 21,446 at Arena CDMX.
It’s clear the UFC will be back to Mexico as it broke ground on another UFC Performance Institute in the country.
