ONE Championship announces US event dates

January 10, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

One Championship announced that it will return to the US to hold events in the fall of 2024. Both events will be aired on Prime Video.

The first event will be a return to Denver, Colorado on September 6th at the Ball Arena. One Championship held an event in May 2023 at the same venue. On November 8, 2024 it will head to Atlanta, Georgia and the State Farm Arena. Details of the card have not been announced.

Per One Championship press release:

Chatri Sityodtong, Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship, stated: “We’re thrilled to return to the U.S. to showcase the greatest World Champion martial artists in the country’s best cities and sports arenas. America remains a high-priority market for us as we continue our global expansion, and we can’t wait to get back on-ground to entertain our passionate fanbase in the region with quarterly U.S. events in September 2024 and beyond.”

The announcement also advertises One Championship events which will also air on Prime this year.

2024 may be a make or break year for One Championship. On a variety of occasions it has made attempts to break into the US market but has not really made a dent. Last year’s event in Denver was hope for the company but even with an Amazon deal, it appears that it still has not gained traction in North America. Its hard to think that this company can financially continue down this path if it does not rake it a share of the US market and get a bigger piece of the MMA space.

Wait, is this for real? Trump spent $60 million of our taxpayer funds to host a UFC fight and then is selling UFC coin to line his family’s pockets. The Trump corruption swamp is a mile deep.
