Francis Ngannou set for matchup with Anthony Joshua

January 6, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Francis Ngannou will be back in the boxing ring as he faces off against Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight tilt on March 8th in Saudi Arabia. Coming off a loss to the heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, Ngannou showed that he could compete in the ring.

Joshua was scheduled to face Deontay Wilder on March 9th in Saudi Arabia but Wilder suffered an upset loss to Anthony Parker. On the same card last month, Joshua defeated Otto Wallin.

The winner of the matchup could be in line to face the winner of Oleksander Usyk-Fury in February for the heavyweight title.

Ngannou, 36, left the UFC last year and signed with PFL. He has yet to fight in PFL but his match against Fury garnered indirect attention for the PFL.

Obviously, a win could mean that Ngannou’s return to MMA would be delayed due to the momentum of his boxing career. Even though Ngannou showed his boxing acumen, he is still a huge underdog against Joshua.

Contrary to Trump’s statements, senior Israeli and U.S. officials said that the United States had prior knowledge of the Israeli strike and even approved it in an attempt to pressure Iran. After the Iranians retaliated against Qatar’s gas fields, Trump is now changing course
