Top Rank Boxing on Saturday night drew 602,000 viewers on ESPN. The telecast also received 0.15 in the 18-49 demo per Sports TV Ratings.
The telecast featured a battle of middleweights with Kazakkhstan’s Janibek Alimkhanuly stopping Vincenzo Gualtieri via TKO in the 6th round in their fight in Rosenberg, Texas. The undefeated former Olympian retained his WBO middleweight title while retaining his IBF middleweight title.
ESPN’s programming went up against Showtime Boxing’s event which featured Australian light middleweight Tim Tszyu as he defeated Brian Mendoza via unanimous decision.
