Jake Paul launches boxing series

April 27, 2023 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Jake Paul and his MVP Promotions will launch a new boxing series, Most Valuable Prospects, which will debut on May 26th in Orlando, Florida.  The card will feature Ashton Slyve according to a report from ESPN.

The Long Beach, California native served on the undercard of Jake Paul’s fight against Anderson Silva last October.  The undefeated boxer will take on Angel Rebollar in an eight-round lightweight fight.

There will be four cards promoted by Most Valuable Promotions and BoxLab Promotions and distributed by DAZN this year.

Payout Perspective:

We’ve seen this type of boxing promotion where young prospects are promoted on their own cards.  These are relatively cheaper events to hold and the promoter gets on the ground floor on an up-and-coming boxer.  Having the series on just DAZN is not ideal and one might see if this series does it finds another distributing partner in the future.
