Top Rank Boxing draws 639K viewers

March 28, 2023 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Top Rank Boxing on ESPN Saturday night drew 639,000 viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The telecast ranked 14th overall in cable.

The event took place in Fresno, California and featured Jose Ramirez as he took on Richard Comney.  The telecast drew 218,000 viewers in the 18-49 demo.

The telecast aired after the UFC televised event in San Antonio and during the Plant-Benavidez Showtime PPV on Vegas.

Broken down the telecast drew 0.17 18-49, 0.08 F18-49, 0.26 M18-49, 0.12 18-34, 0.05 F12-34, 0.15 M12-34, 0.21 A25-54, 0.33 over 50.

Payout Perspective:

Decent ratings for Top Rank Boxing considering another huge card was happening on PPV.  The UFC lead-in probably didn’t factor in here if you were a combat sports fan as it was likely you would gravitate to the PPV.  But, if you didn’t want to pay the $80 to watch it or were willing to wait a week for it to replay on Showtime, you may have stuck around for the fights from Fresno.
