Top Rank Boxing draws 840,000 viewers

December 13, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Top Rank Boxing drew 840,000 viewers on ESPN Saturday night per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily. The telecast featured Teofimo Lopez’s return as he defeated Sandor Martin.

The telecast drew 273,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo and a household rating of 0.49. Top Rank Boxing was once again the lead-in The Heisman Trophy Presentation which drew 1.646 million viewers.

The 189 minute telecast drew 0.21 in A18-49, 0.13 F18-49, 0.29 M18-49, 0.13 A18-34, 0.10 F12-34, 0.12 M12-34, 0.28 A25-54, 0.44 in over 50.

Payout Perspective:

A considerable dropoff from the Heisman lead-in. Notably, the UFC PPV Prelims which aired on ESPN 2 during the Heisman telecast drew 769,000 viewers. Lopez was to be a Top Rank draw but his uneven win against Martin may tarnish his appeal.
