AEW Rampage and Battle of Belts ratings disappoint

October 10, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

AEW Rampage on Friday night drew 404,000 viewers on TBS Friday night per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily. The following hour, AEW aired Battle of the Belts which drew just 317,000 viewers.

AEW Rampage finished 20th overall in cable ratings while Battle of the Belts finished 37th.

AEW Rampage drew 0.13 in A18-49, 0.08 F18-49, 0.18 M18-49, 0.07 A18-34, 0.05 F12-34, 0.06 M12-34, 0.17 A25-54, 0.19 over 50. The Battle of the Belts drew 0.10 in A18-49, 0.07 F18-49, 0.13 M18-49, 0.06 A18-34, 0.05 F12-34, 0.04 M12-34, 0.13 A25-54 and 0.15 in over 50.

MLB Playoff baseball likely took away a lot of the casual viewers. And, to be honest, I didn’t even know there was an extra hour after Rampage. Based on the decrease in viewers, it looked like other viewers felt the same. The special usually airs on Saturday nights and this was the first Friday night version of the telecast.
