UFC and Project Rock unveil new shoes

August 30, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC and Project Rock are unveiling co-branded shoes per the Sports Business Journal.  The two sides will reveal the look on Tuesday.  The announcement builds on the partnership announced this past January.

The Project Rock x UFC BSR2 shoe and Project Rock Slides sandals will be released today.  BSR stands for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s motto, “blood, sweat and respect.”  The sandals have Michelin rubber on them for grip while UFC branding is on the tongue, tag and insole of the shoes.  The UFC will provide them to all fighters and their corner teams for fight weeks.  The items will go on sale starting on September 1st at Dick’s Sporting Goods and Under Armour stores.

The announcement comes during the UFC’s first event in Paris this Saturday and back to school for many students.  The collaboration (with no price point yet announced) should be big sellers for those that are fans of The Rock and the UFC.  Moreover, the distribution of the product through Dick’s Sporting Goods should provide optimal access for those that want to purchase them.
