Top Rank Boxing sponsorship revenues up, still room for more

August 25, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The Sports Business Journal reports that Top Rank Boxing revenue from sponsorships is up 110% from last year with more room for revenues.

The boost, according to the article, is attributed to former Turner executive Brian Kelly’s retention for the company last year.  Social media revenue is up 250% in the same period.  Kelly indicated that Top Rank will focus on collectibles, unscripted content and e-commerce as “three new key revenue initiatives” for the company.

Regarding unscripted content, Top Rank is looking at something similar to Netflix’s F1 Formula Racing series which became widely popular and boosted the F1 brand especially in the U.S.

Top Rank is also looking to fill several sponsor deals including spirits, quick service restaurant and insurance.  As for collectibles, Top Rank is looking at more deals in the market like the one it has with Tom Brady’s firm, Autograph for NFTs.
