PFL on ESPN draws 281K viewers

August 9, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The Professional Fighters League on Friday night on ESPN drew 281,000 viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The telecast drew 115,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo and a household rating of 0.16 for the playoffs in the lightweight and light heavyweight division.

The feature bout saw Stevie Ray once again defeat Anthony Pettis this season to move along in the lightweight bracket.

The telecast, which aired at 7:00pm ET until 9:00pm ET, drew 0.09 in the A18-49 demo, 0.03 in F18-49, 0.15 in M18-49, 0.04 A18-34, 0.02 F12-34, 0.05 M12-34, 0.10 A25-54 and 0.13 in over 50.

Payout Perspective:

The PFL on ESPN Friday night airings are doing moderately well for the league.  But, the time slot of early evening on the East coast and late afternoon on the West coast is not conducive to grabbing many casual viewers.
