UFC 270 payouts

January 24, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Francis Ngannou made $600,000 for his heavyweight title unification bout against Cyril Gane.  The interim champion, Gane, drew $500,000 per the California State Athletic Commission.

Ngannou defeated Gane in the main event of UFC 270.  Notably, it was the last fight on Ngannou’s contract as his management and the UFC are at an impasse.

Deiveson Figueiredo earned $150,000 for his win over Brandon Moreno to regain the UFC flyweight title.  Moreno earned $200,000 for the fight.

Notably, both winners of the title fight did not have a win bonus attached to their pay day.

The rest of the payout list is as follows:

Michel Pereira $50,000 ($50,000 win)

Andre Fialho  $12,000

Said Nurmagomedov $25,000 ($25,000 win)

Cody Stamann $65,000

Michael Morales $10,000 ($10,000 win)

Trevin Giles $45,000

Victor Henry $20,000 ($20,000 win)

Raoni Barcelos  $29,000

Jack Della Maddelena  $10,000 ($10,000 win)

Pete Rodriguez $12,000

Tony Gravely  $22,000 ($22,000 win)

Saimon Oliveira $10,000

Matt Frevola  $23,000 ($23,000 win)

Genaro Valdez $10,000

Vanessa Demopoulos  $12,000 ($12,000 win)

Silvana Gomez Juarez $12,000

Jasmine Jasudavicius  $10,000 ($10,000 win)

Kay Hansen $17,000

As John Nash of Bloody Elbow noted, the $10,000 purses are likely based on the contracts the fighters signed when competing on Dana White’s Contender Series.  The standard ‘entry-level’ payout for a fighter in the UFC is $12,000 to show and $12,000 to win.

Yes, the Pulitzer-winning journalist is the source we should ignore, not the people who continue to want access to the LA sports team they cover. This was a dumb thing to think and an even dumber thing to tweet.
