UFC 269 Prelims draw 729,000 viewers

December 14, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC 269 Prelims on ESPN2 Saturday night drew 729,000 viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The event ranked 4th overall in cable for the night right behind Top Rank Boxing.

The telecast drew 0.27 in the A18-49 demo, good enough for 358,000 viewers.  It also drew 0.27 in the A18-49 demo, 0.13 in the F18-49 demo, 0.42 with males 18-49, 0.21 A18-34, 0.11 F12-34, 0.23 M12-34, 0.31 A25-54 and 0.28 in over 50.

The first 15 minutes of the telecast aired on ESPN News due to an overrun of college basketball.

The prelims aired on ESPN2 due to the Heisman Trophy Presentation and Top Rank’s boxing card.

Payout Perspective:

Despite falling to Top Rank in the cable ratings, the 729,000 viewers is a strong showing even though it was bumped off the main network.  The last two prelim card ratings were not disclosed for whatever reason.
