UFC on ESPN 31 took place on Saturday at The Apex in Las Vegas. The event had some solid performances from athletes vying for the extra $50K bonus.
The fight of the night went to Cheyanne Vlismas and Mallory Martin. The strawweight battle between the two produced an action-bout with Vlismas (formerly Buys) earning her second straight $50K bonus.
Chris Curtis earned a $50K bonus with his KO win over Brendan Allen. An underdog going into the fight, Curtis picked up his second straight finish with a flurry of punches.
Maybe the best Performance of the Night went to Clay Guida who turns 40 soon. Guida was able to submit BJJ ace Leonardo Santos with a rear-naked choke.
The night featured Jose Aldo and Rob Font with “The King of Rio” earning a unanimous decision.
