Top Rank Boxing on ESPN draws 1.306M viewers for Stevenson-Herring feature

October 26, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Top Rank Boxing drew 1.306M viewers on ESPN Saturday night for its fight featuring Shakur Stevenson taking on Jamel Herring.

Stevenson stopped the former champion in round 10 of a fight that the former Olympian dominated in winning the WBO junior lightweight title.

The event drew 0.37 in the A18-49 demo, 0.27 in F18-49, 0.47 in A18-49, 0.24 in A18-34, 0.15 in F12-34, 0.28 in M12-34, 0.47 in A25-54 and 0.65 in over 50 category per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.

The telecast was the 7th ranked cable TV show on Saturday.  The MLB Playoff game between the Dodgers and Braves was first followed by ESPN’s College Football telecast of Alabama and Tennessee.

Payout Perspective:

Good ratings on Saturday night for Top Rank Boxing which featured a young, up and coming star in Stevenson.  This bodes well for the division and fights that may go forward including a potential Stevenson-Bud Crawford fight.
