Showtime Boxing this past Saturday night scored 333,000 viewers. The peak audience drew 379,000 viewers during the end of Jermall Charlo’s victory over Juan Macias Montiel.
The viewership number account for the linear channel and not any streaming numbers.
The first fight of the night saw Angelo Leo win a majority-decision over Aaron Alameda. The fight drew 141,000 viewers and peaked at 176,000. In addition, Isaac Cruz and Francisco Vargas fought with Cruz taking the decision. The fight scored 259,000 viewers and peaked at 274,000.
The Showtime telecast was part of a big night for combat sports with a host of boxing events occurring on Saturday including one opposite the telecast on ESPN as well as the UFC earlier in the evening.
Payout Perspective:
The ratings are strong in comparison to other Showtime Boxing events. Also, the Nielsen ratings do not track the number of those that watched it on the digital platform which might provide a bigger number.
