UFC on ABC 2 draws 859K

April 13, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC on ABC 2 drew 859,000 viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The prelims which aired Saturday morning on ESPN drew 377,000 viewers.

The telecast which featured Marvin Vettori taking on Kevin Holland was the second event on the ABC network.  The first event this past January drew 1.22M viewers and 471,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo with a household share 0f 0.72.

The main card drew 337,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo and garnered a 0.37 rating. The prelims which aired prior to the ABC event drew 161,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo and a 0.26 rating.

Payout Perspective:

UFC on ABC 2 went head-to-head with The Masters on CBS which drew 5.184 million viewers in the same time slot Saturday.  We should note that UFC on ABC 1 went up against the NFC Playoffs on Fox this past January.  Yet, it did much better in January than it did this past weekend. Yet, the ratings fared well with little-to-no brand name fighters on the card.  Certainly, Max Holloway in January was much better than Marvin Vettori in April (sorry Marvin).
