WWE Friday Night Smackdown nets 2M viewers going into WM weekend

April 11, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

WWE Friday Night Smackdown drew 2.060 million in the first hour and 2.099 million viewer in the second hour according to Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  It was the last show before the company’s big Wrestlemania weekend.

The first hour drew 0.5 in the A18-49 demo in the first hour and 0.6 in the A18-49 demo.  Men’s 18-49 demo drew 0.4 in the first hour and 0.5 in the second.  The telecast served as a jumpoff going into the big weekend as there were multiple video segments of interviews rather than actual action.

Notably, the 8pm time slot was covered with Shark Tank and MacGyver both posting over 4 million viewers.  Magnum P.I. on CBS drew 5.328 million viewers.

Payout Perspective:

The ratings remained in the 2 million viewer range although you would expect a little more for a ‘go home’ show into the big Wrestlemania weekend.
