Venum announces payment tiers for UFC fighters

April 4, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Venum is the new clothing sponsor of the UFC and earlier this week revealed the new pay tiers for UFC fighters.  Unfortunately, the bump in pay that was expected does not appear as much as one may expect.

On Thursday, new promotional guidelines were sent out and as reported by ESPN, there is a raise in pay from previous sponsor Reebok.

For title fights, Champions will receive $42,000 per fight from Venum.  The Challenger will receive 32,000.  For those with over 21 fights under the Zuffa banner, they will receive 21,000.  Fighters with 16-20 fights receive $16,000.  Fighters between 11-15 fights receive $11,000.  Fighters between 6-10 will receive $6,000.  Between 4-5 fights receive $4,500 while those with 1-3 fights receive $4,000.

Payout Perspective:

The pay went up just a couple thousand dollars for each level which is good and bad.  Good because more money is always good money.  However, for those that were hoping that Venum would be offering more for the fighters, that’s not happening. It’s also notable that there was not a large build for Venum as this Saturday on ABC will be the first time that it will be worn in an Octagon.  We will see how the new clothing sponsor will be marketed in the UFC and if it will have more success that Reebok.

@Josh_HokitUFC You’re gonna cry you were cancelled by the left for “free speech”. And then you’ll post 200 times a day on Twitter until fox and friends invites you on to “tell your story”. And after that you’ll run for congress and your campaign will be centered on white grievance.

This is

Real question. Was this announced or is there an intern somewhere that is taking note of ever fighter’s follow and unfollow?
