March 31, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Nate Diaz is returning to the Octagon on May 15th as he faces Leon Edwards in a 5-round fight at lightweight.  The event will be a part of UFC 262 which also features Charles Oliviera and Michael Chandler vying for the vacant 155-pound title.

Nate Diaz will return against Leon Edwards in the co-main event of UFC 262 on May 15, sources told @arielhelwani.

The matchup will be the first 5-round non-title co-main event in UFC history. UFC 162 will take place May 15th in Houston, Texas in front of a live crowd with (presumably) no COVID-19 restrictions.

Payout Perspective:

Big news for the UFC as it gets one of its top draws back in Nate Diaz.  Obviously the 5-round fight reflects the fact they want Diaz fighting for a title shot in the not-too-distant future.  Once again, Edwards gets a shot at another top competitor.  Will he be able to show off his skills?  His last fight ended prematurely due to an eye-poke to Belal Muhammad.  This will be a great chance for Edwards to show he’s worthy of his elusive title shot.

Contrary to Trump’s statements, senior Israeli and U.S. officials said that the United States had prior knowledge of the Israeli strike and even approved it in an attempt to pressure Iran. After the Iranians retaliated against Qatar’s gas fields, Trump is now changing course
