UFC 257 Prelims draw 1.433M viewers

January 26, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC 257 Prelims drew 1.433 million viewers on ESPN Saturday night per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The event drew 704,000 in the A18-49 demo and a 0.78 household rating.

The UFC Prelims was the #1 cable telecast on Saturday.  It was tops in the A18-49 demo and M18-49 demo with 0.75.

The event started 10 minutes late in its window due to a college basketball overrun.  Nevertheless, the event was the highest-rated prelim show since last February for UFC 247 which drew 1.491 million viewers.  The UFC 257 prelims peaked at 1.7 million viewers.

Payout Perspective:

Clearly the return of Conor McGregor meant a big audience was waiting for the event and the Prelims benefitted from this.  The great ratings made it the highest-rate cable telecast on Saturday besting multiple college basketball games on ESPN.
